Manchester, Peveril of the Peak

Peveril of the Peak dates from the boom time of the British pub and the ornate tiled exterior makes it one of Manchester's great treasures.

The Pev has had a nu,ber of busy periods in it's history. Buy rarely has it been as packed as in the days of the Manchester Hacienda, when it wasn't just the players on the football table that were in a spin of heightened activity.

The Peveril is still a great place for a pint of real ale, though these days the passing trade is more subdued.... perhaps on the way to see the Halle Orchestra at the nearby Bridgewater Hall.
