Tennis Coaching & Technique:
Tennis Techniques: The Tennis Coaching Manual
Want to learn how to play tennis?
Congratulations: you've found the perfect web site for learnimg about tennis
tecniques and playing tennis strokes.
This is the home of the tennis coaching manual with two
fundamental differences.
Firstly, the two parts of the
tennis coaching manual (sample chapters below from The Forehand and The
Serve) has been written by a writer who wandered
into tennis coaching (for many years), rather than by a tennis coach struggling
to write. And the techniques I taught (and wrote about for many tennis magazines,
especially in Germany, where I had my own monthly column) were based entirely
on the strokes of the world's top professional players.
Secondly, the photographer, writer and ex tennis coach are all the same person.
The tennis tournament sequence photos, from 18 years of pro tournament photography,
have all been lovingly (and obsessively) captured and this was the first
site to make tennis stroke animations from sequence tennis photography (to
my knowledge, it's the only tennis site that has turned instructional imaging
and writing into an art form).
Many have copied the ideas, but has any tennis
coaching web site on the internet matched the technical tennis content for
excellence, originality, depth and imagination?
Using the sample chapters below as a reference, do some internet searches
under 'tennis coaching' and make your own mind up.
In technical sports like tennis, knowledge is power and these digital tennis
pages are being written to serve the reader, and tennis players of every
standard, for a lifetime.
The Forehand and The Serve are the first two parts of an ongoing coaching
project and tennis book, the aim of which is to make the highest pro tennis
techniques accessible to you, the reader. This will empower parents to teach
tennis to their kids, non-specialist sports teachers to teach tennis strokes
to their pupils and help anyone to develop tennis strokes based on many of
the best players of all time.
To whet your appetite (below) are the first three chapters of Part One: The
Forehand. and
the first two chapters of Part 3: The Serve.
Technical tennis writing was never so good.
